Trieste

Trieste is still a real insider tip! While other cities in Northern Italy are populated by tourist masses in high season, Trieste has remained pleasantly quiet for some inexplicable reason. Perhaps this is due to its peripheral location in Italy's most northeastern corner? In any case, Trieste has no shortage of beautiful squares and promenades, churches and palaces, culture and sights worth seeing!

Arrival and departure: Accommodation in Trieste

Pension "Brilliant Camere

In Trieste we chose for our trip the very centrally located pension Brilliant Camere decided. It is located a few meters from the Grand Canal and the Piazza del Ponte Rosso located in an old palazzo in the northern part of the old town and is run jointly by mother and daughter. The rooms are large, have high ceilings, air conditioning and are completely newly renovated.

Especially practical: There is a luggage storage room. There we could deposit a separate backpack with extra luggage during our first overnight stay (before the circular hike) and receive it again during our second stay following the circular hike.

There is an espresso machine in the rooms, but it's best to go to one of the many cafes nearby for breakfast.

Even the small rooms are very spacious.
